United States Medical Licensing Examination comprises of 4 parts;and it is computer -based testing:
- Step1. Examines students whether they are able to apply important scientific concepts tp medicine, with the duration of 8 hours and includes the following 10 topics:anatomy, behavioral science, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, physiology, nutrition, genetics and aging.
- Step2. Clinical knowledge; the exam last about 9 hours and includes the following 6 topics: Intenal medicine, obsetetrics ana gynecology, pediatrics, preventive medicine, psychiatry and surgery.
- Step3. Clinical skills;whics tests the ability to apply medical knowledge and skills for clinical diagnosis and treatment in practice.The candidates will be given 12 patient encounters,followed by completing the patient note.
- Step4.
